This policy explains what information Shanghai Newmeen Medical Co., Ltd. ("Newmeen", "we", "us") collects when you use this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have kept it short and specific to what this website actually does.

1. Who we are

Shanghai Newmeen Medical Co., Ltd. is a supplier of bioprocess consumables, process equipment and cleanroom supplies, registered in Shanghai, China. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

3rd Floor, Building 6, No. 537 Songda Road, Qingpu District, Shanghai, 201703, China
Email: info@newmeen.com  ·  Tel: +86-18101602894

2. What information we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us, plus the minimum technical data needed to operate the site safely.

Information you submit through the enquiry form (product pages, the contact page, and the "Request" buttons on the downloads page all use the same form):

  • your name (required) and business email address (required);
  • company name, telephone or WhatsApp number, and country or region (optional);
  • the estimated quantity and the requirements you describe in the message box;
  • which product or page the enquiry relates to, and the page you submitted from;
  • the date and time of submission.

Technical information recorded automatically when an enquiry is submitted:

  • your IP address, which we keep with the enquiry record. It is used to stop automated spam submissions and, if necessary, to investigate abuse.

What we do not collect. This website has no visitor accounts, no online payment and no card processing. We do not ask for identity documents, date of birth, health data, or any other special category of personal data, and we ask that you do not send such information to us through the forms.

If you contact us by email or phone instead, we receive whatever you include in that message, and we handle it in the same way.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

This website sets one strictly necessary cookie: a session cookie (usually named PHPSESSID). It holds a random identifier that lets the server verify that a form submission came from a genuine page visit rather than a forged request. It contains no personal information, it is deleted when your browser session ends, and it is not used for advertising or profiling.

Because this cookie is strictly necessary for the site to work securely, it does not require your prior consent. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the enquiry form may then stop working.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or social media plug-ins on this site. If we introduce a web-analytics tool in the future, we will update this section and, where required by law, ask for your consent before it is set.

4. How we use your information

  • to reply to your enquiry — answering technical questions, sending specifications, datasheets or compliance documents, and quoting prices and lead times;
  • to arrange samples, and to prepare and fulfil any order you place with us;
  • to keep our own record of the business relationship, including correspondence history;
  • to protect the site against spam and fraudulent submissions;
  • to meet accounting, tax, export-control and customs obligations.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it or rent it to anyone.

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on:

Purpose Legal basis
Replying to your enquiry and providing information you ask for Consent, given when you submit the form; and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries
Negotiating and performing a contract with you or your company Performance of a contract
Spam prevention, site security and abuse investigation Our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure
Tax, accounting, export-control and customs records Compliance with a legal obligation

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time — see section 8. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where necessary, and only with:

  • our website hosting and email providers, who store the site and the enquiry records and deliver our email on our behalf;
  • logistics and customs service providers — freight forwarders, customs brokers and couriers — where we ship an order or a sample to you;
  • testing laboratories, where a sample must be analysed to answer your technical question;
  • our professional advisers (accountants, auditors, lawyers), under a duty of confidentiality;
  • courts and public authorities, where the law requires us to disclose.

Every provider acting on our behalf is required to keep the information confidential and to use it only for the purpose we instructed.

7. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to an order — normally up to three years from our last contact, so that we can pick up the conversation where it stopped.
  • Enquiries that lead to a contract — for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for as long as accounting, tax, warranty or export-control rules require.
  • IP addresses kept for spam prevention — for the same period as the enquiry record they belong to.

When a retention period ends, we delete or anonymise the record. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner — see section 8.

8. Your rights

Subject to the law in your country, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy;
  • correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete it, where we no longer need it and no legal obligation requires us to keep it;
  • restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing at any time;
  • receive your data in a portable format, where that right applies;
  • withdraw consent at any time;
  • complain to your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these, write to info@newmeen.com from the address you used to contact us, and tell us what you would like us to do. We respond within one month; if a request is complex, we will tell you and may extend that period. We will never charge you for exercising these rights.

9. Security

This site is served over HTTPS, so the information you submit is encrypted in transit. Enquiry records are held in a database on our hosting account, access to which is restricted to named staff who need it, protected by individual passwords and an administrator activity log. No system is completely secure, but we take these steps to protect what you send us and we review them as the site develops.

10. Children

This website is intended for business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised, and the current version always applies to this website.
